Weight Watchers: Awaken your incredible

Up until recently I’ve always been fairly insecure and not confident with myself. I would always doubt myself and always double think things and tell myself I can’t do it.

The biggest change that I experienced as I “matured” (I use that term rather lightly) is the fact that I’ve started to accept that what you can do is really up to you.

Now I know what you’re thinking – that sounds wishy washy and over promising.

But I think it’s true. And the more I experience life, the more I believe in the above statement. Especially after the New Years and my recent birthday, has really got me thinking about how I want my life to turn out and who I want to be.

Birthday Outfit 🙂

If you have an impossible dream, sometimes it only seems impossible because you haven’t seen anyone that has done it before that you know. Sure there are celebrities and people in the news, but it’s a lot harder to think that it is possible if no one you have talked to has achieved it. And sometimes when you do, they tell you it was hard.

Of course it will be hard, life will be hard, so since you’re already going to go through tough times you mights as well make it worth your while right?

One thing that I’ve been struggling a lot with is getting old. I’m a person that’s super young at heart, and I probably look incredibly youthful, but I’m actually not that young. (Age may be revealed soon :P) I’ll think about it. With this struggle comes with the fact that you think your life is slowly going to be ending as of now, but there are so many incredible stories that prove otherwise.

Take the Iron nun for example:

Buder began training at age 48 at the behest of Father John who told her it was a way of tweaking, “mind, body, and spirit” and for the relaxation and calmness it can bring an individual. She completed her first triathlon at age 52 and first Ironman event at age 55 and has continued ever since
Buder is well known in the Triathlon community for her achievements in age group races. She has completed over 325 triathlons including 45 Ironman Distances. At the 2005 Hawaii Ironman, at age 75, The Iron Nun became the oldest woman ever to complete the race, finishing 1 hour before the 17-hour midnight cut-off time. At the 2006 Hawaii Ironman, at age 76, she again became the oldest woman ever to complete the race, finishing with a time of 16:59:03.

Like wow, that’s crazy!! If you ever thought to yourself you’re too unfit to do something – well now’s the time to feel bad about it hahah!

Weight watchers create a beautiful video that really reflects this concept, and it’s a great snapshot at what kind of things you can experience through life and how at the end of the day you can come out stronger and learn from the experience. I think it sums it up the joys the pains so well, and chances are you’re probably not even 1/4 away through your whole entire life! It’s great to get perspective.

Watch it now

I truly believe that every one of us has the potential to be incredible. It’s just about thinking it first. If we can’t even think that we’re incredible, it’s hard for us to do anything about it. The first part is believing you can and then doing it.

Lets take my diet journey for example. Prior to this I have never been able to successfully go on a diet!!! EVER!!! Now after doing this for a while through little steps, my eating habits are so healthy I can’t ever imagine eating that much junk food again. In fact my stomach turns at the thought of throwing junk in my
“temple” hahaha.

Looking back I have done a really incredible habit change in my life, but before I took it on, it really did seem too hard and there were days when I just really wanted something unhealthy. Now it feels so breezy! That’s when you know you’ve awakened your incredible :)!!

I beleive that you can do this for yourself too and I’ve heard of so many girls coming to me letting me know they’ve lost weight and gained a more healthy lifestyle, so girls it’s not impossible, in fact it’s very attainable!!

Keep yourself motivated with blogs, videos and resources that will keep you on track. There are some great tools that Weight Watchers offer you as well that you can have a look at.

    Hi Wengie!
Today I started a challenge of 100 days. Eating healthy foods and exercising me. Thanks for being a great inspiration. When I finish the challenge leave another comment on the blog and I think it'll be much more confident and healthy.
    Lucky for me hehehe: 3
    Thank you.
