Makeup tutorial: How to apply blush like a kpop star

All through my life, I’ve had a love hate relationship with blush.

I honestly did not know how to use it, and I’d always end up looking more like a clown then a cute asian chick. Damn!!
Also I guess I’ve always had quite a round face, which looked even sillier when it’s emphasised with blush. So needless to say, I’ve never quite incorporated it much into my make-up routine. It was always an afterthought product, one I sort of dabbed onto my face when I had time.
The biggest change to my blushscapades happened when I discovered makeup brushes. (Yes fingers were what I kinda used for a long time or cheap brushes my aunty threw my way which were…well crap)
They were so soft and fluffy and fun to use, that it made blush application just..FUN!!
Then came the discovery that there was more to blush application then a fluffy brush!! There was stippling brushes, and contour brushes (which I all introduce in my video).
I’m not sure about you but sometimes it’s the brushes that make makeup so fun (I used to love painting so a brush seemed like a second hand).
Then there were so many formulations to try out as well!! I perosnally still love the powder blush – so versatile. Which reminds me

Try saying brush and blush in a sentence, biggest tongue teaser ever!!! I had so much trouble doing my voiceover hahaha.

So without further ado 🙂

What I used

Fräulein3°8 Contour brush

Muji Blue Squirrel brush
Jill Stuart Candy Orange Blush
Mac Mineralise SkinFinish

Tutorial

Some extra tips:

If you want to make a wide face appear skinnier: concentrate the colour on your inner cheeks

If you want a skinnier face to look wider: Concentrate on the outer cheek

This is pretty much the end of my Korean style tutorial series :)!! If you guys have any requests please let me know! I’m going to be doing an easter look next week which will be fun :)!!

Much love xoxoxo!

I was never a fan of rouge until now, too!! 😀 My one setback now still is getting it even on both sides. One side always comes off heavier.. Argh! But I'm definitely better now and thanks so much for sharing!!
